Netball sensations West Coast Fever will be wearing green and gold for another three years after renewing a sponsorship deal with mining heavyweights worth over $6 million.

Gold Industry Group — whose members include Northern Star Resources, AngloGold Ashanti Australia and Gold Fields — and Netball WA have signed on for their third partnership on the trot since first joining forces in 2019.

The renewal is for three years and will see the mining members group tip millions into the popular women’s sport as the Principal Partner of Netball WA and joint Principal Partner of West Coast Fever.

It comes during a bumper run for gold, which was the State’s second-biggest commodity earner after delivering a record $21 billion in sales for 2023-24.

Gold Industry Group Chair Kelly Carter said netball was a “unifying force in WA” and deserved the sector’s support.

“We are absolutely delighted to play a role in helping to supercharge the great work that Netball WA is doing,” she said.

Netball WA chief executive Simone Hansen said the group was thrilled to continue the partnership.

“The WA Netball Community has built a strong and lasting relationship with the Gold Sector. Netball is full of passionate and pioneering people and we work really hard to break down barriers and encourage players from all backgrounds and abilities.”

Netball WA booked $15m revenue in 2023.
