Enigma

This latest campaign from Kailis Jewellery is unmistakably West Australian, embracing our coastline’s distinct rich colours of pindan red and gentle blue. Shot by photographer Jason Capobianco, it features model Emma McGowan wearing the fine jeweller’s collection, including its stunning signature pearls. The campaign’s title is designed to capture the intricacy of individuality and natural beauty — “embodying both strength and vulnerability, intensity and composure, an antithesis that defines our unique beauty”.

Vanessa Amorosi

Vanessa Amorosi is heading west to put her powerhouse voice behind a great cause at this year’s Telethon. Amorosi will perform during the huge fundraising weekend on October 19 and 20, along with Guy Sebastian, Samantha Jade and Human Nature. A host of other celebs are also flying over for the event, including The Chase’s Issa Schultz, Matt Parkinson and Brydon Coverdale; SAS Australia’s Ant Middleton; Sunrise’s Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington; The Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur; plus Johanna Griggs, Dr Harry Cooper, Charlie Albone, Juliet Love and plenty of WA stars. Telethon raises funds to support 136 beneficiaries and children’s charities. Tickets for the opening and closing shows at RAC Arena are on sale now via Ticketek.

This sought-after make-up artist has just opened a 300sqm beauty and make-up salon, describing it as a “dream . . . that has been a lifetime in the making”. Lavender Skies

Step into a sea of purple at Claremont Hotel as it launches a bottomless high tea on the rooftop. Promising an afternoon of indulgence each Saturday from noon-2pm, the colourful affair features a sweet and savoury tower and a choice between teapot cocktails — a spring-inspired Pimms cup or blue lagoon for something different — or a cocktail paddle. There will also be live Regency era-inspired music from string quartet Aquila. Prices start at $75 per person, or $50 with no alcohol, and bookings can be made at theclaremont.com.au.

Ottolenghi Comfort

There is something soul-warming and instantly recognisable about an Ottolenghi recipe, be it the unique combination of flavours or the ability to amplify humble ingredients. Newly released Ottolenghi Comfort, produced by Yotam Ottolenghi, Helen Goh, Verena Lochmuller and Tara Wigley, is the latest book in the delicious collection. It’s described as a celebration of food, home and connection as the four authors showcase their own memories and comfort dishes in its pages.

Saltwaters

We love to see WA on the world stage, so congratulations to artist Sabrina Dowling Giudici, who is the only Australian presenting at Venice Glass Week in Italy. Saltwaters is a tribute to her two homelands, Italy and Australia, celebrating the seagrasses found in the Shark Bay world heritage area and the lagoon of Venice.
