In a competitive night of fast-paced matchups, teams across three divisions battled it out on February 24 at the Broome Aquatic and Recreation Centre netball courts for the latest round of Broome mixed netball action.

Chafing Dreams delivered a statement win in division one, handing the previously unbeaten Misfits their first loss of the season with a 31-21 victory.

Deez Nets proved too strong for Simon’s Snippers, securing a 24-14 triumph to notch their first win of 2025.

Despite the loss, the Misfits remain at the top of the division one ladder, while four teams — including Chafing Dreams — are locked on equal points, making for a wide-open race as the competition heats up.

In division three, the Orl Blaks edged out Sweaty Balls 21-19 in a thriller to maintain their perfect record.

Rough Diamonds also impressed, claiming a 25-16 win over the Ballbusters, while the Broomies fought off Big Ups 27-21.

With the win, Orl Blaks sit comfortably on top of the table as the only unbeaten side, while four teams are equal on four points each, hinting at a tight finals race.

In division three, Derby continued their dominant run, putting away the Sundowners 25-13 to hold on to first place with a superior percentage.

The Salties were also convincing winners, defeating BFGAs 30-22, while Here If You Need dispatched Lost and Found 16-3.

Both Derby and The Salties remain undefeated, but Derby’s large margin wins gives them the edge at the top of the ladder.

At the other end, Lost and Found are still searching for their first points of the season after a tough opening two rounds.
