Broome Senior High School car park project completed to create a more streamlined drop-off zone
Traffic around Broome Senior High School on Frederick Street will now flow significantly smoother with the completion of a more streamlined drop-off zone for motorists driving children to school.
The Shire of Broome has announced another of its key improvement projects, the Broome Senior High School carpark project, is now open after construction began in August this year.
Shire contractor McCorry Brown Earthmoving started work on the carpark earlier than anticipated and ripped out the former carpark to commence major earthworks and several concrete pours.
The Department of Education funded the project after lobbying by the Shire, with the Shire funding the design and providing project management necessary for the task.
Motorists are encouraged to move as far forward as possible through the carpark drop-off zone to allow other vehicles to move in and maintain a flowing streamline.
