Youngsters Corinthians have triumphed over the Pearlers with a 6-0 victory on Wednesday August 22.

It was a pretty even start with both teams using great defensive pressure early on.

A number of near misses for both teams saw the match become a struggle to get the first goal of the night.

However, Corinthians’ Sean Williams managed to break through and score the first goal following a penalty when the Pearlers got a little too aggressive on the field.

Corinthians soon followed that up with a second goal from Lachlan Bonner and a third from Ollie Halse to lead 3-0 at half time.

Following the half time break, Pearlers were keen to score early but Corinthians keeper Fletcher Ghandour was quick shut down their attempts.

Corinthians continued to amp up the defensive pressure as the Pearlers looked to make up for their three-point deficit.

However, fantastic driving from Ulami Obloa resulted in an impressive shot to extend the Corinthians’ lead.

Pearlers quickly began to fade as the Corinthians ruled the field with two more goals from Sam Lynch and Callum Shoal sealing the victory.

Elsewhere, FC Meatworks continued their undefeated streak with a 3-0 win over Broome Town.
