Kimberley tourism shines on State stage

Kimberley tourism businesses have done the region proud at this year’s Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards, held at the weekend.

The awards, held at Crown Towers in Perth on Saturday November 10, recognised the very best in the State from attractions to accommodations to tours and festivals.

Broome-based tour company, Kimberley Wild Expeditions was the big winner of the night, taking out the Sir David Brand Award for Tourism along with a gold medal in Major Tour and Transport Operators.

Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures claimed three gold medals in Tourist Attractions, Adventure Tourism, and Unique Accommodation.

Kimberley Quest won gold in Tour and Transport Operators, a silver in Unique Accommodation, and a bronze in Adventure Tourism.

Other medal winners included Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa, Shinju Matsuri Festival, Kooljaman at Cape Leveque, Narlija Cultural Tours, Pearl Luggers by Willie Creek Pearls, Kimberleyland Waterfront Holiday Park, and Kununurra Country Club Resort.
