Kings keep the throne after crushing Gantheaume Pointers in Broome Basketball

The Kings remain on the throne after an action-packed night of basketball down at the Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre basketball courts on May 10.

In the men’s A-grade division, the Kings held on to the top rung of the ladder after their clash against the second-best team in the league, the Gantheaume Pointers, with the Kings doubling the Pointers’ score, 62 to 31.

Kings powerhouse Trevor Menmuir was knocked off his perch as the top scorer this round with teammate Jarman Cox claiming the top spot with 24 points.

Odash emerged victorious from a close call in their clash against the Raiders with Odash, coming away with an uneasy six-point win, 32 to 26.

The better team was undecided in the Tigers and the Skywalkers match with the clash ending in a draw, 35 to 35.

In the women’s division, the Sky Breakers came away with the close win against the Raiders, 42 to 39.

On Call easily squashed the Sharks, 48 to 26.

The Lady Bombers crushed the Broome Blitzers, 58 to 12.

And the Crystals succumbed to the Pacers, 50 to 13.

In the men’s B-grade division, the Misfits defeated the Spoonbills, 43 to 38.

The Cobras beat the Drifterz, 50 to 40.

And BBC just managed to hold on to the win in their clash against the Vipers, 53 to 49.
