Roebuck Bay Lookout complete
Locals and tourists will be able to take in the breathtaking views of Roebuck Bay after the first Chinatown Revitalisation construction project was completed this week.
The new Roebuck Bay Lookout, at the intersection of Dampier Terrace and Frederick Street in Chinatown, will be open to the public from this weekend.
The $706,500 structure, co-funded by the Shire of Broome and the Federal Government, provides stunning views of Roebuck Bay and Dampier Creek, and features artwork and interpretive information created by Yawuru Traditional Owners and Broome Senior High School students.
Additional features include weathering steel panels, timber searing benches and handrails, Kimberley sandstone, native plants for landscaping and LED lighting.
