A Broome couple claim it was an ‘unusual’ feeling that helped guide them to their million dollar Saturday lotto win.

The pair, who did not want to be named for privacy reasons, purchased the ticket for the Saturday, January 16 draw at the Broome Pantry, and raked in just over $1 million with the division one win.

“I felt I had to buy a ticket from this particular outlet,” one winner said.

“It was all in slow motion, but it just felt like I was being guided to buy a ticket.”

The couple said retirement plans were now an option thanks to the win.

“We can now think about others, I think this is a real gift and opens up the chance to volunteer,” they said.
