Zachary Alexander Kozyrski: Ex-reality star featured on Survivor & Gladiators faces string of charges

A former reality television star has stayed tight-lipped after appearing in court on more than a dozen drug and weapon charges. Zachary Alexander Kozyrski — who appeared on two seasons of Australian Survivor and Gladiators in 2008 — appeared in Joondalup Magistrates Court on 17 offences on Friday. The charges arise from allegations police seized $22,400 in cash, eight cannabis plants and methamphetamine from his Wanneroo home on September 20. Police also allege the 45-year-old had a bulletproof vest, a prohibited weapon as well as other substances, including steroids, cocaine and 4.1kg of cannabis. He is also alleged to have an inadequate storage facility for firearms. During his brief court appearance, Mr Kozyrski confirmed his name before his bail was extended by Magistrate Sarah Wisbey ahead of his next court appearance. Kozyrski — who worked as a personal trainer — met a woman outside court, hugging before they walked inside together. It is understood she was ready to post a surety for the former reality star, but it was not required. When leaving court, Mr Kozyrski declined to comment on his charges. He will next appear in court on April 11. Kozyrski was booted off 2018’s Australian Survivor series in an explosive tribal council. He said “trolls” had contacted his workplace after the show amid allegations he made “misogynistic comments.” “The thing is that for anyone to get that worked up over a character on a TV show is crazy, absolutely crazy,” he said at the time. “The problem isn’t with me, these people need therapy.” He went back on the 2020 Survivor All Stars season but was also voted out. The 45-year-old has locked his Instagram profile since the show but recently posted to Meta’s Threads this week where he unveiled his “2025 relationship status”. “Happy living a peaceful life with my dog,” he said.
