Kununurra crash: Woman seriously injured after hit & run in the Kimberley, police asking for information
Detectives are investigating a hit and run incident in the Kimberley region after a woman was left hospitalised.
At about 7.35pm on Friday night, police say a 39-year-old woman was walking along Weaber Plain Road, Kununurra, when she was hit by a car.
It is alleged the driver of the car did not stop at the scene or stop to help the woman.
She was taken to Kununurra District Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, where she remains.
Major crash investigators have travelled to the Kimberley to conduct an examination of the scene and are appealing for any witnesses.
