Terrifying footage has captured the moment a woman confronted a masked intruder inside her home in Melbourne’s southeast.
A woman woke up to an intruder inside her Windsor home about 6am Sunday.
She had reportedly heard noises before she wandered into the hallway where she found a masked man carrying a backpack, according to 3AW.
Video footage shows the man running to the front door and attempting to get out, however it appeared the door was locked.
Footage has captured the moment a woman confronted a masked intruder inside her Windsor home in Melbourne’s southeast.
He then turned around and ran into another room, where he managed to escape out the window and climb the fence, with the woman questioning him the entire time.
“How did you get into my home? What’s in your bag?” the woman asked as she followed him.
3AW police reporter Madelaine Burke said the woman told her adrenaline had kicked in, which prompted her to confront the man.
“She says at the time, the adrenaline was running through her, so she decides to film him,” Burke said.
The woman called police immediately after he left, and officers reportedly arrived within minutes.
Victoria Police confirmed on Monday morning that no one was injured and nothing was stolen during the reported burglary, with investigations into the incident still ongoing.
