It is milestone week for some of the AFL’s Mid West stars with Patrick Cripps and Liam Ryan appearing in matches 200 and 100 respectively.

The Blues will look to rebound against the Bulldogs after a nightmare loss to GWS last week, with the side blowing a 39-point first-quarter lead.

Towns’ Jack Martin is looking like he is close to full fitness after his season was derailed by injury. He could spend time in the VFL as he looks to get back to 100 per cent.

While he has not appeared recently, Chapman Valley’s Jack Carroll made his case for selection with 32 disposals and a goal in the reserves last week.

Liam Ryan will be gearing up for game 100 without coach Adam Simpson, after the coach and West Coast agreed to part ways earlier this week.

They are back at Optus Stadium against a surging Brisbane Lions squad. Jamie Cripps and Tyler Brockman will look to bounce back after lacklustre performances in the 17.10 (112) to 8.10 (58) loss to Melbourne.

A player who shined in that match was Rovers export Judd McVee, with the Demons defender earning two coaches votes, putting him at seven votes this season.

In the win, McVee set a new career high with 22 disposals and now faces a test against Essendon on Saturday night, with the Demons trying to climb back in the eight.

Mid-season pick-up Brynn Teakle did not have to wait to get a win with his new club after North Melbourne got the best of Gold Coast at home on the weekend 13.9 (87) to 12.11 (83).

The Northampton product kicked multiple goals for the first time in his AFL career, playing primarily as a tall forward.

However, North may struggle this week against ladder leaders Sydney at the SCG, who will look to bounce back after consecutive losses.

Coorow-Latham’s Logan McDonald will likely be avoiding the ball if the game is close late, after having the chance to win the game in back-to-back weeks and missing both shots.

The St Kilda loss was a slight resurgence for the forward, who kicked 2.3, his first game with multiple goals since round seven.

Dongara product Jaeger O’Meara will line up against his old club when Fremantle prepare to do battle with Hawthorn in the early Saturday game.
