In the Sunday afternoon Twenty20 fixture at Male Oval, the Wanderers remained unbeaten when they defeated the Dirty Dozen.

Dozen won the toss and sent the Wanderers into bat, they bowled well but let themselves down with a number of wides and a couple of dropped chances that enabled the Wanderers to build a competitive score of five for 114 from 20 overs.

Ben Rahman top-scored with 45 while Jeff Nevil made 25 not out and Scott Gardiner 20.

Dozen Stuart Batt took three for 15 while Matt Hudson took one for 13 and Anthony Collopy one for 21.

The Dozen chase started slowly against a tight Wanderers bowling attack and after five overs they were already well behind the required run rate.

Despite the efforts of Captain Scott Hanna and Michael Brown to hold innings together Dozen lost wickets on a regular basis and failed by 20 runs to reel in Wanderers total, making 8 for 95.

Derby remained unbeaten on Sunday when they had a comfortable win over President’s XI.

Batting first, Derby made 155 before bowling out the President’s in the 16th over for 85.

Round three of the Divers Twenty20 Big Bash will commence this Sunday at 10.30 am as Derby play Dirty Dozen in Broome while at 2pm Wanderers take on Roebuck and Mangrove tackle President’s.
