Broome gym, Life and Soul Health and Fitness, will reopen for the New Year in new premises at Broome North, double the size of its current facility.

Owner Cindy Kempton said since she and her husband Peter Athanitis came from Karratha to open Life and Soul Broome in 2008, it had outgrown its Pembroke Road premises.

Kempton said the new gymnasium had been purpose-built to better cater for Broome’s growing population.

“We’ve built a facility which is more of what the consumer wants to see – state-of-the-art,” she said.

“And it should service Broome really well for its growth into the future.”

A massive group fitness room will be double the size of the one in the old gym,and the gym’s crèche will have triple the room it previously had.

There will also be internationally acclaimed spin Body Bikes, and brand new pin loaded and free weights.

Life and Soul will be open for its last day at its current premises of 4 Pembroke Road this Monday, from 5am to noon.

The gym will close for two weeks while it sets up its new facilities at 14 Iona Link, Bilingurr.

The new premises will open on Thursday, January 3, from 5am.
