Broome man faces court

A Broome man appeared in Sterling Gardens Magistrate’s Court via video link on Wednesday charged with the murder of his de facto partner.

Police alleged Peter Brooking, 49, murdered the 42-year-old woman, who was found stabbed at a Miller Way home last Wednesday about 10am.

Mr Brooking made a brief appearance in Broome Magistrate’s Court last Thursday.

He was in the Magistrate’s Court only to hear the charge before the matter was adjourned.
