A 52-year-old man who allegedly used fictitious online profiles on an online dating site offering teenage children to other members for sexual activity has had his case transferred from Broome to Perth.

David Petrina, 52, of Broome, was charged after WA police received information about his online activities from Queensland police.

Police will also allege the man used fictitious female profiles on dating sites and used pictures of a woman who had not given her permission to use the images.

Broome detectives searched the man’s house in Broome in November 2015 and seized digital evidence.

The man has been charged with using a carriage service for child pornography material, using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence, possession of child exploitation material and possess an indecent or obscene article.

The man appeared in Broome Magistrates’ Court this morning. His case was transferred to Perth Magistrates’ Court on September 5.

His bail conditions were renewed by Broome magistrate Steve Sharratt.
