Broome ready to wow at Royal Show
The Broome community is being asked to be ambassadors for the town in the lead-up to this year's Perth Royal Show.
Broome will feature as the guest town at the show from September 27 to October 4, with 450,000 visitors expected to come through the gate.
Broome Shire president Graeme Campbell said there had been a great response when the call went out for the community to be involved as sponsors, volunteers and entertainers.
"Now we want everyone in Broome to show their friends and family elsewhere why we love our town, so that they head along to the Broome stand at the Royal Show," he said.
"Every time you post a photo of Broome to social media, whether it's Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, give it the hashtag #LoveBroome.
"All the pics will be collated on the new LoveBroome Facebook page, and everyone who posts a pic will go into a draw to win five nights accommodation at The Pearle of Cable Beach."
Big drawcards to visit the Broome display include the chance to win the ultimate Broome holiday worth almost $17,000, put together by the Broome Visitor Centre, and live crosses from the BroomeCam at Cable Beach on to the big screen at the show.
Entertainment will be provided by Tanya Ransom, Susie Quicke, Albert Wiggan and Ngaire Pigram, among others.
