Derby gets its news for free

The Broome Advertiser has boosted its reach into the West Kimberley with free home delivery of the weekly newspaper starting earlier this month.

Broome Advertiser office manager Rebecca Murphy said this was a great development for Derby residents who have previously had a limited supply of the Advertiser sold in town, and great news for advertisers hoping to reach readers in Derby. “We are excited to be giving Derby residents the opportunity to keep up with our news and information,” she said. “And through our Derby correspondent, Therese Phillips, who joined us earlier this year, our readers throughout the Kimberley are already enjoying more comprehensive coverage of Derby’s issues and events.”

Shire of Derby West Kimberley president Elsia Archer said it was great for locals to have free access to local and regional news.
