Fairgame sports a return

Broome Advertiser

Local youths will have the opportunity to participate in a week-long health and sports program this week when Fairgame returns to the Kimberley.

Fairgame is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation which delivers unique health, education and fitness programs to communities in WA through the donation of recycled sports equipment.

Volunteers visited Kimberley communities from Derby to Fitzroy Crossing last October, donating sports equipment and undertaking various health and sport programs.

Fairgame will return to the Mowanjum community this week, partnering with the Boab Network organisation which has supported the community for four years.

Volunteers will deliver a week-long holiday program starting this Friday to the community’s youth population that will continue on from the Boab Network’s two-week visit.

The program includes two sports and health-focused sessions a day, including visits to the Derby community swimming pool, a Wellness Walkabout yoga program and the health-focused Healthy Hands Feet and Smile Program.
