Fitness fever set for town

Broome Advertiser

A state-of-the art studio will open its doors in Broome this Sunday, offering a range of programs for families and fitness enthusiasts under one roof.

Sun Studios Broome is the newest dance and fitness centre to launch in the town and aims to cater for its cohort of active residents.

Sun Studios Broome owner and director Raelene Malcolm said she took over the building in Pembroke Road, formerly operated by the Life and Soul gym, to provide more activities for local families all year round.

The Broome mum, a former gymnastics coach, said she had always wanted to establish a gym in the area and took over the lease when it became available.

Ms Malcolm and local Zumba instructor Kara Kelso joined forces to transform the establishment into a spacious, modern and family friendly venue.

The multipurpose centre features two large airconditioned studios, two waiting areas, including a creche, front desk and alfresco area.

Sun Studios will offer various programs for people of all ages including Zumba fitness classes, acrobatics for boys and girls, ballroom, cheerleading and Tai Chi.

Studio hire will also be available. Registrations will be available during the Sun Studios open day from 8am to 12pm this Sunday.
