Gibb River riders near business end of training
As the start of the 700km Gibb River Road Mountain Bike Challenge draws closer for another year, teams are getting into the swing of things training and fundraising for the epic journey.
Mud, Sweat and Gears with a group of mostly virgin Gibb Challengers are busy thinking about being hard at work training but are busy planning their fundraising effort.
The team will be happy to finish the epic 700km ride when it ends in Kununurra in early May.
The team has organised a night of barefoot bowls and fundraising auction this Friday, April 15, at the Broome Bowls Club.
The team’s Darren Edmiston said the team was raising money for WA Police Legacy and the RFDS. He said the team was also looking for donations of goods and services for the charity auction. Contact Fiona Galloway on 0405 404 303.
