Five juveniles aged 14-17 have been charged following a spate of burglaries in Broome.

Senior Sergeant Brendon Barwick said the arrest account for 10 out of burglaries that occurred between October 5-10 at Cable Beach and the Reid Road side of Old Broome.

He said cash was stolen from a combination of residential and commercial premises.

“We have cleaned-up ten burglaries and we are following-up positive leads relating to the others,” Sen Sgt Barwick said.

“The charges came about from inquiries and information provided by members of the public,” Senior Sergeant Barwick said.

The youth are due to appear in Broome Children’s Court later this month.
