Kimberley tourist icons on show in national campaign
Iconic Kimberley destinations including Broome's Cable Beach and Gantheaume Point are being marketed as extraordinary holiday destinations as part of a $3.6 million national advertising splurge.
The El Questro Wilderness Park, Home Valley Station and the Bungle Bungle Range in the region's eest also feature in the television, cinema and print campaign that started last week.
The advertising features some of the most breathtaking landscapes and experiences found in the north and south of WA.
It aims to create an emotional connection with people by focusing on getting away from everyday life and reconnecting with those who matter the most in an extraordinary destination such as WA. Tourism WA has launched two new ads to sell Western Australia in a venture funded by Royalties for Regions.
The campaign is the next phase of the State's Experience Extraordinary brand, which was launched about three years ago.
Tourism Minister Liza Harvey said according to research, reconnecting with family and friends was one of the most important aspects of a holiday.
"These ads, which feature real-life couples, will inspire people to come to WA and create their own memorable experiences that will be treasured for years to come," she said.
"Broome and the Kimberley region are featured in one of the films because the stunning locations enabled Tourism WA to create an ad that shows a couple reconnecting with each other as they connect with the extraordinary landscape."
The ads are being screened on free-to-air TV and in cinemas in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth and on pay TV and outdoor cinemas across the country.
