King-hit victim airlifted to hospital
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was king-hit while in the Shell service station in Broome.
The victim was flown to Perth by the Royal Flying Doctor Service for specialist treatment after the incident inside the service station shop at 1am on Friday.
Broome Detective Senior Sergeant Kevin Bradshaw said the circumstances of the assault were being ascertained.
“It appears the two men had a verbal altercation, which involved in the victim being punched in the face,” he said.
Detectives are studying CCTV images.
