Leaders maintain unbeaten records
The Broome Touch Association’s six-week men and women’s tournaments played their last round of fixtures in the normal season last Thursday, with grand finals to be played tonight.
In the women’s division, Try Breakers ended their campaign undefeated after beating Mixed Up 9-4.
The victors finished first on the ladder, and have shown great skill and speed in the tournament. Sharmal Mason and Gemma Enosa were the standout players in this encounter.
Try Breakers will take on Panthers in the women’s grand final, after the latter dispatched social side Mermaids 13-1 last week. Shannon Burgess impressed for the victorious outfit.
In the men’s division, Kulaz ensured a 100 per cent record with a 14-2 win over Lion Tamers. They will play second-placed Barbarians in the final, who overran Try Hards 12-2.
The game of the night saw Broome Luggers beat Bulls 7-6.
