Network heaven for local Belles

AMY WILLIAMSBroome Advertiser

“What women want” is being pondered by the directors of Broome’s only women-in-business network, which celebrated a relaunch as Broome Business Belles last Thursday.

Since 2010 the group has amassed a membership of more than 200 who take part in networking events, enjoy making business and social contacts and contribute to local charities through fundraising.

Directors Natasha Mahar and Deb Gibson said the reinvented network aimed at improved networking, marketing and professional development opportunities.

Ms Mahar said they were processing results of a survey conducted via email and among a great crowd who attended the launch.

“We were really pleased with the turnout and so far feedback has been really positive,” she said.

“Once we start getting into these questionnaires we’ll start to get a clearer idea of the direction it will take.”

Ms Maher said the group was a “business organisation connecting like-minded women in Broome and the Kimberley, through networking, sharing ideas, events, raising money for local charities”.
