Principal will strive for excellence in students
As the newly appointed principal at Broome Senior High School, Saeed Amin said his focus was to build on the school’s culture of success, promote academic excellence and retain more tertiary students in Broome.
Describing Broome’s clientele as diverse and transient, Mr Amin said his vision was to attract and retain more higher education students by keeping the curriculum dynamic.
“I can confidently say Broome has the capacity to meet the needs of all students,” he said.
Mr Amin arrived in Broome a few weeks ago from Carnarvon, and said he was delighted with his new role.
“It’s very humbling, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the school and the wider community,” he said.
Mr Amin commended former principal Gary Downsborough’s hard work and advocacy for building a culture of success, and said his mission was to achieve academic excellence by challenging students to be the best.
Mr Amin previously taught as an administrator in England and Australia, including Balga, the Cocos Islands and was principal in Carnarvon before taking up his new post in Broome.
