St Mary's College dance and drama students invited community members to reflect on the true meaning of Easter last week when they presented their annual Easter Reflection performance.

Students re-enacted the story of the Passion of Jesus Christ on stage through dance sequences and narrations centred on biblical accounts of his death.

The performance was held under the stars at the primary campus's Holy Place.

Year 11 student Kiara Malcolm-Bodle portrayed Mary, the mother of Jesus, who took the audience on a poignant spiritual journey through the last moments of his life.

In keeping with the solemnity of the dramatisation, audience members were asked not to applaud, but instead to pause and reflect on the significance of Easter and the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made 2000 years ago.
