About 150 people turned up as Broome Visitor Centre held official launch of new consumer brand Visit-Broome last month.

BVC general manager Nick Linton said the organisation was keen to move with the times to engage with a more multimedia-savvy audience.

“The BVC believes we have more to offer than just visitor servicing and making a booking,” he said.

“The future for us lies in the ability to share our resources with our membership and increase the value we deliver to each other, our members, the community and our visitors and guests.”

Mr Linton said the new campaign would spur increased tourism in the region after a recent slump.

“Over the next year the BVC will work towards developing a higher level of value-added services,” he said.
