Broome youngster Seth Lovell is set to travel to Sydney this weekend to represent WA in the Australian Youth Ultimate Championships 2015.

The 16-year-old was part of the under-18 team that won the equivalent competition in Melbourne last year and has again made the cut.

Despite only playing the sport for less than two years, Seth's natural ability has shone through and he looks to have a bright future in Ultimate.

The event in New South Wales will bring the best young players from across the nation to Sydney for a two-day competition

Seth, who also plays squash, told the Broome Advertiser his ambition was to one day make the all-Australian team.

Broome Ultimate Club coach Bec Lorraine was full of excitement at the news Seth had again been selected for the State team.

"We can't wait to hear how Seth goes at Youth Nationals," she said.

"He played last year when he was just getting into the sport and has improved so much since then.

"I am sure he will do the Broome Ultimate Club proud and hopefully come back with another gold."

Ultimate Frisbee has also been included in this year's Kimberley Cup program for the first time, in an indication the sport's popularity is growing locally.
