Saturday Lotto: One West Aussie takes home $2.5 million after huge division one win
West Aussies are being urged to check their Lotto tickets after one lucky resident just became a multimillionaire following an eye-watering division one win.
The WA resident is one of eight Australians — including four from Victoria, two from New South Wales and one from Queensland — sharing the $20 million prize, each pocketing $2.5 million following Saturday’s draw.
The winning WA ticket was sold at Maddington Village Lucky News.
Another 27 West Aussies won division two prizes, each taking home more than $10,000.
The winning numbers for draw #4499 were 4, 6, 15, 20, 32, 39 and supplementary numbers were 1, 30.
The Superdraw marked 45 years since Saturday Lotto launched and it was expected about 500 tickets a minute would be sold across WA.
The WA community will benefit from each Superdraw ticket that sold, with all available profits going back to local community groups in the form of grants.
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said ticket sales from the draw raised more than $3 million.
“Saturday Lotto continues to make West Aussies dreams come true,” she said.
“Just this month we’ve had five Division One wins in WA sharing a total $5.5 million, thanks to Saturday Lotto.
“Ticket sales from tonight’s Superdraw have raised more than $3.3 million for community groups across the State through our grants program.”
