Golf club ram raid investigated

Police are investigating a ram raid at Broome Golf Club overnight.

Offenders smashed through the roller door of the club, causing a glass door to shatter and major damage to the building on Port Drive.

BGC manager Bill Minns said the offenders had stolen alcohol, but he was not yet able to assess the full extent of the robbery.

He said it was likely the club would have to replace the entire wall.
