Maths day fun for all
Maths can be more than just calculations, counting and times tables, a local school discovered in the most enjoyable way possible last week.
Students at Broome Primary School enjoyed a maths fun day last Wednesday, with an array of outdoor activities ranging from estimation stations and mini golf to mazes and ball games.
From pre-primary to Year 6, the entire school got involved for a day that proved there are always fun ways to learn.
Student Billie Cook, 5, said she and her classmates had “the best time”.
“We love being outside and doing fun things like this at school,” she said.
The school also celebrated book week recently, decorating the school and running a series of interactive activities for the students to celebrate the nationwide initiative.
