The Game Cricket Tipping: Early Bird prize winner takes home $5000

Australind-based Perth Scorchers fan Craig Haylock had a flying start to the new T20 season by winning The Game’s cricket tipping early bird prize of $5000.

Mr Haylock claimed the prize just for signing up thanks to Thirsty Camel after his name was randomly selected from a pool of entrants.

“I’ve never won prizes like that before,” he said.

“I’m very, very happy.”

Mr Haylock has been competing in AFL tipping for the last 15 years and decided to have a crack at the cricket equivalent this time around.

“I thought I’d give the cricket a go just for a bit of fun,” he said.

Being a seasoned sports tipper, Mr Haylock shared his simple approach.

“Tip with your brain, not your heart,” he said.

Mr Haylock prefers watching T20 to Test cricket, which he finds “boring”.
