Broome's Kodee Brown raced his way to glory last month retaining his WA Super Sedan State Speedway title in Manjimup.

The Kimberley driver was dominant over the two-day event on January 25 and 26, winning three of his four heats and finishing second in the other to make the final.

Brown started in pole position in the 35-lap decider and led throughout to record victory by four lengths in the 15-car race.

He overcame difficult and dusty conditions to get the win, beating the best drivers from across the State in the process.

The victory was his third time crowned as WA champion, after taking out wins in 2008 and 2013.

Brown will now strive to claim victory at the national titles, which will be hosted at Murray Bridge in South Australia in April.

"It was a big thing for us to win back-to-back titles - the fathers of two of my crew were a few of only a handful of drivers to ever do so," Brown said. "We will give the nationals a really good go. We are confident, and want to make amends for a horror run last year, when we finished fourth."

Broome Speedway Club president Mark Dunne was full of praise for Brown and predicted a big year for the sport in the town.

"It was a fantastic achievement from Kodee to win consecutive State titles and we are very proud to have WA's champion in Broome," he said.

"After missing out on the Broome season last year due to a hand injury, we look forward to having him back with us this year.

"We are looking to have a massive season."
