Some of the region's top riders descended on Broome for the local motocross club's two-day club championships late last month.

Broome Motocross Club welcomed participants from Derby, Port Hedland, South Hedland, Karratha and Augusta for the action-packed weekend on May 30 and 31.

On the Saturday, there were three rounds of racing, with an early start on Sunday and a full day of action.

The Dan Williams Memorial Lap was led by Ben Williams in a mark of respect to his brother, who was a member of the local club.

The Dan Williams Feature Race was tightly contested but Karratha's Robbo Lovett claimed first place and the $2000 prize money for the fourth year in a row, as well as victory in the pro open division.

The next local round takes place on Sunday, June 21.
