Minister takes on bike challenge

Transport Minister Dean Nalder will be rattling his bones down the dusty Kimberley track after signing up for this year’s Bright Blue Gibb River Postie Bike Ride.

Mr Nalder was one of about 20 riders who left Broome last week on Australia Post postie bikes to embark on this year’s challenge.

The ride takes participants through the region to raise money for Bright Blue projects which includes supporting brain cancer research and funding the treatment and prevention of foetal alcohol spectrum disorder.

Now in its fourth year, the week-long ride takes in epic scenery of the Kimberley and will finish in Kununurra this Friday.
