Missy Higgins ties the knot

Award-winning Australian songstress Missy Higgins has tied the knot with former Broome resident Dan Lee.

Lee confirmed the couple married in Melbourne last weekend, attended by “lots of people from Broome” but declined to give further details.

The pair met in Broome through mutual friends and began dating after Lee invited Higgins to sing with his band, the Cable Bitches.

After a whirlwind eight month romance, they announced their engagement in December 2013, two months after Lee relocated to Melbourne to be with the singer.

Higgins and Lee welcomed their first child, Samuel Arrow Lee, last January.
