Nicole Deegan's life fell apart when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at 25.

Instead of planning the wedding of her dreams, the WA woman found herself preparing for the fight of her life.

It was an emotional and turbulent chapter.

But 10 years on, the brave mother-of-two is celebrating life and last week encouraged Broome women to do the same at National Breast Cancer Foundation's Pink Breakfast event.

This was the sixth breakfast held at Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa and was once again generously supported by local businesswomen and members of the community, who raised $5000 towards breast cancer research.

Guests bonded over an indulgent breakfast and listened to Ms Deegan as she recounted her courageous battle with breast cancer while in the prime of her life.

After the shock discovery, just months before her wedding, Ms Deegan underwent a mastectomy, breast reconstruction, radiation and chemotherapy.

Nine months later, Ms Deegan made it down the aisle.

In 2012, she joined the NBCF Speakers Bureau and has been an inspirational voice for other breast cancer sufferers.

Earlier this year, she was given the all-clear.

As this year's guest speaker, Ms Deegan told women she had finally been able to move on with her life and was looking forward to the future with her family.

"Little things don't get me down as they used to," she said.

"I appreciate the everyday things - I don't sweat the small stuff."

She also reminded women that breast cancer was not "age-specific" and urged them to be more breast aware.

Throughout the morning, guests took part in a raffle for a chance to win prizes which included a $50 Pandanas Gift Shop and Gallery voucher, bottles of pink Moet and Chandon, and a Linneys' voucher worth $1000.
