Victoria Park crash: Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car that mounted footpath

A pedestrian has been seriously injured after he was hit by a car that mounted a footpath in Victoria Park. Police say a gold Ford Fiesta went through the intersection of Berwick Street and Canning Highway before mounting the footpath and hitting a pedestrian about 9.40pm on Tuesday. The car then slammed into a wall of a vacant building. The 36-year-old male pedestrian was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition, while the 30-year-old female driver avoided injury.
