India are looking to grind Australia into dust in sweltering conditions on day three, can the Aussies claw their way back into the contest?

The Aussies looked lifeless yesterday and the pitch seems to have settled down. If they can’t break this mighty opening stand early it could be a long day in the field for the home side in the stifling heat.

Follow all the action live!

That’s a wrap!

Australia looked destined for defeat in Perth but with two days of play still remaining there is plenty of time for miracles!

Join us again tomorrow for day four.

The wickets

Australia lost three wickets in the final half an hour.

Stumps

Australia have disgraced themselves badly on day three and have little chance of redemption in this match.

India has deserved every accolade in this match.

They worked harder, been braver and seem much smarter.

Australia have just seven wickets remaining to chase another 521 runs.

Marnus falls

Marnus gets in all sorts as Bumrah smashes into his pads as he tries to leave.

The umpire gave it out, but with one second on the timer, the Aussie reviewed it.

The ball came back a long way and DRS says it was crashing into the stumps.

He makes just three.

AUS 3-12 needing 521

Words heating up

Siraj took exception to Marnus making loud calls of “no run” and exchanged a few words.

Marnus answered with a punch down the ground for three runs.

AUS 2-12 needing 521
