Real reason why Payne Haas left Broncos training early

Brisbane prop Payne Haas left the hot and humid training field at Red Hill early on Wednesday as the club helps him to fire during the holy month of Ramadan.
Haas, a Muslim, is a master at juggling the observance with his playing and training routine, and his 45-minute early mark was all about ensuring he gets the appropriate rest and recovery.
During Ramadan, adherents of the Muslim faith abstain from food and drink, including water, each day from dawn to sunset.
In 2025 the month of Ramadan runs from the evening of February 28 until March 30.
Haas will negotiate that period with his training and games, with clashes against the Raiders away on Saturday followed by games against North Queensland and Dolphins still to come.
He was in sensational form in the 50-14 win over Sydney Roosters in round one, where he ran for 167m and made nine tackle busts in a powerhouse 49-minute display.
Coach Michael Maguire is not playing Haas for as many minutes as he has been used to, but AAP understands that was not due to Ramadan in the Roosters clash, but more about a plan the coach has to get the best out of him in 2025.
Haas was due to do media on Wednesday, but because of his post-training absence lock Kobe Hetherington stepped up.
"He had to go home. He is doing Ramadan, so he has been pretty flat-out lately," Hetherington said.
"He got through that (Roosters) game doing it. I don't know how he did it, but he is a different human.
"We all know what Payne is like. Week-in and week-out he always puts up big numbers and always gives one hundred per cent. He just went home early for a bit of rest."
