Goldfields summer eight ball fixtures resume on Thursday night with each of the participating teams still in the running for top-eight berths.

With four rounds of qualifiers left, Grand Trolley Boys remain unbeaten in their quest for a sixth consecutive summer flag.

However, numerous teams are hot on their heels including Star and Garter Pirates who are also perfect through the early rounds.

Tower Jokers and Country Club Cobras complete the double-chance top-four standings.

Interest in the final make-up of the eight is keen, with only three games separating fifth-placed Main Reef Breakers from last-placed Grand Mafia.

In this week’s headline matches, Star and Garter Pirates host Grand Workers, who will be out to break Pirates’ undefeated run.

Ninth-placed Gala Warriors will be looking at swapping ladder positions with Grand Suns (eighth) when they clash in Boulder.
