West Aussies donated a record-breaking $83 million to Telethon.

Well, WA we did it!

Thanks to the generosity of our State, we were able to raise a record-breaking amount for Telethon and help thousands of sick kids in WA.

Thank you for everything you contributed to this year’s amazing Telethon. We couldn’t have done it without you.

And thank you for following our live coverage over the past 26 hours. We have had so much fun and we hope you have too!

Stokes Family donates $5 million

Kerry Stokes presented a cheque for $5 million, pushing the final total for Telethon 2024 to $83,264,216.

Last panel for the weekend

Kerry Stokes, Christine Simpson Stokes and Richard Goyder have joined Basil Zempilas for the last panel of Telethon.

Richard Goyder said West Aussies should feel so proud about what they do for sick kids in the State.

Mr Goyder also thanked the young Telethon heroes and their families for being vulnerable and sharing their stories with the world.

Rove visits second winner of Hyundai!

Rove gives Australian resident Rosa the surprise of a lifetime as she discovers she has won a Hyundai Kona.

She puts her hands over her head in awe of her new vehicle.

Rosa reveals Telethon means something extra special to her and her family.

She had twins with cerebral palsy who “weren’t supposed to live” after 15 but are still alive at 40.

One of the boys is lecturing at university, helping other children with cerebral palsy.

$13 MILLION has just been donated by the WA Government, boosting the total to a record-breaking amount of $77,568,966.

Roger Cook gives $1000 to Telethon

The WA Premier and his wife Carly have personally donated $1000 to Telethon.

The WA Premier said he has been blown away by the generosity of West Aussies this weekend.

“It is about kids giving to other kids,” Mr Cook said.

Rove McManus FACETIMES car giveaway winner

The winner of Sunday night’s car giveaway revealed she tragically lost her baby and couldn’t thank Telethon enough for what it has done for sick kids in WA.

Australind resident Teagan was sitting on her couch watching Telethon when she received a call from Rove McManus informing her she had won the new Hyundai vehicle.

When McManus asked her why she donated to Telethon, Teagan shared the devasting story about her baby’s passing.

“Telethon means so much to our family, our first little boy Nash, he lived at PCH for the first five months of his life and he passed away in February 2020 from a heart condition.

“Telethon is everything . . . it’s very close to our heart.

‘I’m no hairdresser’

Ada Nicodemou said she cut off a girl’s hair today and raised $800 for Telethon.

When Larry Emdur was asked who cut his hair off ... he blamed Ada for the lack of hair on his head.
